Two honesty notes the trend articles skip. First, these are mid-dark colors: over existing light walls two coats normally covers, but going the other way later — back from olive or terracotta to a light neutral — usually takes a high-hide primer plus extra coats. The exit costs more than the entry, so commit to a color you will live with.
